Description
As a Steel Structure Engineer, your role will involve complete design and engineering of large and complex EHV/HV substation projects, specifically Gas-Insulated Substations. Your key responsibilities will include: - Analyzing GIS layouts and suggesting compensation element placement on GIS substations - Reviewing tender specifications and following design instructions accordingly - Elaborating project requirements in close cooperation with sales, project management, project engineering, and the customer - Initiating supply chain management for the creation of steel structures and production of the steel framework - Performing Load Combination and Analysis using Staad Pro Software - Generating foundation load reports for GIS substations, both indoor and outdoor - Creating steel structure drawings according to relevant standards - Placing steel structure models in GIS models - Preparing Civil Drawings for Substation Contractors, including steel structure foundation marking - Creating order Bills of Materials (BOM) and documents in SAP - Providing support to the site installation team on technical issues - Ensuring responsibility for interfaces between buildings, steel structures, GIS, and focusing on construction information In terms of qualifications, you should meet the following requirements: - Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in Steel Structure Engineering with a bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering - Knowledge of relevant Steel Structure Standards such as ACI, ASCE, ASTM, AISC, ANSI - Fluency in English and additional languages - Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills with open-mindedness, reliability, and the ability to work under pressure - Experience in Staad Pro Software - Added advantage: Knowledge or experience in Tekla Structures/AutoCAD Software Joining our team will provide you with the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in the field of steel structure engineering and substation design.
