Description
As a Steel Structure Engineer at our company, you will be responsible for the complete design and engineering of large and complex EHV/HV substation projects, specifically Gas-Insulated Substations. Your key responsibilities will include: - Analysing GIS layouts and suggesting placement of compensation elements on GIS substations - Reviewing tender specifications and following design instructions accordingly - Elaborating project requirements in cooperation with sales, project management, project engineering, and the customer - Initiating supply chain management for the creation and production of steel structures - Performing Load Combination and Analysis using Staad Pro Software - Generating foundation load reports for GIS substations, both Indoor and Outdoor - Creating steel structure drawings according to relevant standards - Placing steel structure models in GIS models - Preparing Civil Drawings for Substation Contractor, including steel structure foundation marking - Creating order Bill of Materials (BOM) and documents in SAP - Providing support to the site installation team on technical issues - Managing interfaces between buildings, steel structures, and GIS, with a focus on construction information and participating in the creation and modification of instructions, templates, checklists, and tools In terms of qualifications, we are looking for candidates who meet the following requirements: - Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in Steel Structure Engineering with a bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering - Knowledge of relevant steel structure standards such as ACI, ASCE, ASTM, AISC, and ANSI - Fluent in English, with additional languages being a plus - Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills, along with open-mindedness, reliability, and the ability to work well under pressure - Experience in Staad Pro Software - Knowledge or experience in Tekla Structures or AutoCAD Software would be an added advantage Join our team and be a vital part of our innovative projects in the field of Steel Structure Engineering!
