Role Overview: As an Application Software Engineer at Emerson, you will be responsible for researching, designing, and implementing application software and Measurement IP/components for test systems used to validate RFICs like Power Amplifiers, RFFE, Transceivers (TRx), Filters, and Switches. Your role will involve owning system features, leading projects from definition to release, collaborating with global R&D teams, and designing IP/features for reusability across systems. Additionally, you will provide technical leadership, drive technical decisions, and mentor junior engineers/technicians in the team. Your contribution will be crucial in advancing the skills and proficiency of the team and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: - Research, design, and implement application software/Measurement IP/components for test systems - Own system and/or features, lead projects from definition through release - Collaborate with global R&D teams on feature dependencies, product release, and customer critical issues - Design and develop IP/features for reusability across systems - Provide technical leadership, drive technical decisions, and mentor junior engineers/technicians - Identify and recommend architecture and process improvements for long-term product quality and development efficiency - Lead initiatives to advance the skills/proficiency of the team and cultivate a culture of innovation Qualifications Required: - Education: B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Electronics, Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering - Minimum 10 years of experience in development of application/system/ATE for Test and Measurement, preferably for RF - Experience in validation and characterization of RFIC devices/components such as RFFE, Power Amplifier, Transceivers (TRx), Filters, Switches - Hands-on design, development, and debugging skills in LabVIEW, C#, C++, Python, TestStand - Familiarity with post-Silicon validation and production test using NI RF instruments, drivers, and NI STS (Semiconductor Test System) Additional Company Details: Emerson prioritizes a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
