We are seeking an experienced Principal Software Engineer to lead the development of high-impact, AI-first applications in a fast-paced, innovative environment. This role involves designing and delivering scalable, secure, and performant full-stack solutions, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, and mentoring other engineers. You will play a pivotal role in shaping architecture, establishing best practices, and integrating AI-assisted development tools to accelerate software delivery. Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance full-stack applications using React/ Next.js , Node.js , and MySQL.
- Build production-grade software from requirements through deployment and maintenance, ensuring reliability and quality.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and engineering teams to translate ideas and prototypes into real-world applications.
- Drive AI-assisted development initiatives, leveraging tools like Cursor and CodeRabbit to enhance team efficiency.
- Identify architectural gaps, performance bottlenecks, and opportunities to automate development workflows.
- Mentor and support other engineers, promoting a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and technical excellence.
- Contribute to scalable architecture, CI/CD practices, monitoring, and observability to ensure robust and reliable systems.
- Develop internal tools and shared components that improve overall team velocity and impact.
Requirements
- 58 years of professional software engineering experience, with substantial full-stack expertise.
- Strong knowledge of modern web architectures and frameworks, particularly React/ Next.js , Node.js , MySQL, AWS, and Docker.
- Deep understanding of software design principles, system performance, security, and observability.
- Proven ability to ship production-grade applications end-to-end.
- Experience integrating AI-assisted tools into software development workflows.
- Excellent communication skills, collaboration experience, and a willingness to mentor others.
- High-ownership, low-ego mindset with a focus on experimentation and delivering results.
- Familiarity with Agile practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based infrastructure.
