Principal Software Engineer - Cloud Services

**Job Description** **Role Overview:** As a Principal Software Engineer in Nasuni's Cloud Services team, you will be a part of a world-class engineering team responsible for designing and developing UniFS-as-a-Service and various product offerings on that platform. Your primary focus will be on building high-scale, highly available, cloud-based services in leading hyperscaler environments such as AWS and Azure. You will have the opportunity to work in Agile scrum teams, collaborate with cross-functional roles, and contribute to the continuous delivery of high-quality customer-driven products. **Key Responsibilities:** - Code and support production deliverables to enhance the UniFS suite of storage products. - Participate in various cross-functional roles within small, highly productive Agile scrum teams. - Lead multi-developer feature teams efficiently to deliver high-quality solutions. - Collaborate effectively with QA, Support, and Documentation groups. - Represent the team in technical discussions and contribute significantly to major new features. - Utilize a multitude of AWS and Azure cloud services. - Author tests and contribute to the development of the CI/CD pipeline. - Work closely with engineering and product management teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications. - Respond promptly to critical customer incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures. - Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and drive the implementation of best practices in securing internet-facing applications. - Lead efforts to continuously enhance development processes, tools, and methodologies. **Qualifications Required:** - BE/B.Tech, ME/M.Tech in computer science, Electronics and Communications, or MCA. - 9 to 12 years of previous industry experience with at least 7+ years in production python development. - Strong familiarity with developing and testing production code in a serverless environment. - Proficiency in AWS services like Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, SQS, Kinesis, and Azure services like Container Apps, Blob Storage, CosmosDB, Service Bus, Event Hub. - Experience with Python testing/mocking, Docker, python cloud SDKs, infrastructure as code technologies, and REST implementation. - Demonstrated experience with common web services, distributed systems technologies, and architectures. - AWS and/or Azure certifications are a plus. **Additional Information:** Nasuni offers a hybrid work culture with 3 days a week in the Hyderabad office and 2 days working from home.
