Principal Software Development Engineer IDC VN Edge

As a Principal Member of Technical Staff in Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure Core Services Development Team, your role will involve working on OCI Virtual Networking to build new Infrastructure-as-a-Service technologies for high scale multi-tenant cloud environments. Your responsibilities will include developing state-of-the-art virtual networking services that are distributed and highly available. The team you will be a part of in India is responsible for developing services such as the Virtual Cloud Network (VCN) which provides customers with a customizable and private network on the OCI cloud. Additionally, you will work on Edge Services like VPN, Customer Cloud Connectivity, Service Gateways, and Network Firewall. In this role, you will be involved in defining and evolving standard practices and procedures within the software engineering division. Your tasks will include designing, developing, and debugging software applications or operating systems. You should have a strong proficiency in programming in JAVA or any other Object-Oriented language and be able to write clean code consistently. To succeed in this position, you must be skilled in optimizing code for performance and scalability in a cloud environment. You will also be responsible for supporting the production environment of the service and participating in on-call duties. Developing algorithms to efficiently solve problems related to data movement across distributed networks is a key skill required for this role. Qualifications for this position include a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field, along with 10+ years of experience in applications development. You should have expertise in Design Patterns, experience in implementing Cloud Architecture Patterns, and a strong foundation in Java programming or a similar OOP language. Experience with cloud environments like AWS, GCP, and Azure is preferred.
