THE ROLE
Portworx, a leader in cloud-native storage and data management for Kubernetes, is looking for a deeply technical and strategic Principal Product Manager to drive the next generation of Observability and Manageability capabilities across our Kubernetes platform. This role calls for a hands-on product leader who thrives at the intersection of distributed systems, data infrastructure, and AI-driven insights.
What You'll Do
- Define and execute the product strategy for Observability, Monitoring, and Manageability experiences across Portworx and Kubernetes-based applications.
- Partner closely with engineering, design, and customer success to deliver seamless management workflows, performance dashboards, and automated remediation capabilities.
- Lead initiatives to integrate AI Copilot features that enhance operational efficiency and user productivity through intelligent recommendations and generative interactions.
- Own end-to-end product lifecyclefrom roadmap definition to deliverybalancing strategic vision with execution details.
- Engage with enterprise customers and cloud partners to understand pain points, prioritize features, and ensure scalable observability across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
- Collaborate with GTM and field teams to translate technical capabilities into business value for customer adoption and success.
- Track the competitive landscape to identify emerging trends in Kubernetes observability, monitoring, and AIOps ecosystems.
We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the OFFICE_LOCATION office in compliance with Pure's policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
What You Bring
- 10+ years of product management experience with at least 5 years in Kubernetes, observability platforms, or cloud-native infrastructure.
- Deep understanding of Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and modern monitoring/alerting systems.
- Strong grasp of Kubernetes internals, including cluster and operator management, CRDs, and control plane components.
- Proven record of building data and operations visibility solutions that enhance manageability and user experience.
- Experience incorporating AI Copilot or genAI-driven developer productivity tools into enterprise platforms.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder alignment skills, with the ability to work across product, engineering, and executive teams.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, customer empathy, and a passion for delivering simple solutions to complex problems.
