Principal - Go +Control Plane/Data plane

As a Senior Backend Engineer in the Control Plane team, you will play a crucial role in developing the intelligent core of our platform. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing and Developing Control Plane Services: Create highly scalable microservices in Go and Python that ensure the resilience and fault tolerance of our control plane. - Implementing Routing and Policy Engines: Develop software components to handle complex routing logic and enforce security policies across various cloud providers. - Building Robust APIs: Develop and maintain efficient gRPC and REST APIs to enable seamless communication between services and provide programmatic control. - Managing Distributed State: Design strategies for managing state in a distributed environment using message queues and databases to ensure data consistency. - Ensuring System Reliability: Write clean, well-tested code with debuggability and observability in mind to simplify troubleshooting and maintain operational excellence. - Collaborating and Innovating: Work closely with product managers and engineers from other teams to deliver end-to-end solutions for our customers. Qualifications required for this role include: - 10+ years of professional experience in backend or distributed systems engineering. - Expertise in Go and/or Python programming languages. - Proven track record in designing high-performance APIs (gRPC, REST). - Strong understanding of distributed systems, including concurrency, state management, and fault tolerance. - Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures using message queues like Kafka or NATS. - Experience in operating services in major cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure). Preferred qualifications for this role are: - Startup mindset with a proactive approach and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. - Conceptual understanding of fundamental networking protocols and their influence on software design. - Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code principles. - Contribution to open-source software projects.,
