Principal Field Applications Engineer

As a Principal Field Applications Engineer at our Bangalore, India office, you will be responsible for engaging with India customers and Partners to enable them to design Physical AI solutions developed with SiMa.ai platform. Your key responsibilities will include guiding and supporting in reviewing existing architecture, proposing alternatives, creating minimum viable solutions, selecting various solution components, contributing to Statements of Work (SoW), working on product evaluation and deployment, providing technical deep dive training, studying market trends, representing SiMa.ai in industry events, and gathering customer feedback for product improvements. Additionally, you will support Sales in expanding existing accounts, identifying new customers, and conducting competitive analysis. To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science/Electronics engineering with 10 to 15 years of relevant experience. You should possess experience in ML and Computer vision applications development, proficiency in C++/Python, GStreamer, Device Drivers, and debugging embedded systems, as well as familiarity with deep learning frameworks like Onnx, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc. Experience in Solution development for ARM based SoC, board bring-up, debug, and software development in a Linux environment is also required. Preferred qualifications include any Embedded Edge AI related certification, experience with Edge AI platforms, customer-facing roles, Conversation AI applications, and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time. Personal attributes such as being self-motivated, a strong team player, curious, creative, and result-oriented are essential for this role. Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment are also desired qualities.
