Principal Engineer, Test (QA Lead)

Role Overview: You will have the opportunity to shape and drive Harmans cloud-based automotive software development toolchains as part of Harmans broader software products portfolio. Your role will involve leading a small team to ensure the highest quality of the toolchain product through meticulous and automated testing at scale. Additionally, you will be responsible for transforming HARMAN Automotive into a leading tech player in software by maximizing the output of your team. Key Responsibilities: - Continuously improve the quality of the toolchain product through meticulous and automated testing at scale. - Focus on moving the majority of testing for cockpit automotive software to the cloud and automating it. - Create test plans and test cases for various forms of testing such as smoke, sanity, release, regression, and stress testing. - Lead a small team to ensure the quality of the product is maintained and continuously improved, while maximizing the team's output. - Ensure an efficient integration of cloud-based testing into the CICD pipeline to reduce overall development lead time. - Design and implement a cloud-based testing framework that is highly scalable and enables parallel testing. - Stay up to date on the latest cloud technologies and automotive industry trends. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent; BE with MBA preferred. - 10-15 years of overall software validation experience. - At least 5 years of experience in validating web-based SaaS applications. - At least 5 years of experience in validating automotive infotainment software. - Experience in automating test suites for web-based SaaS applications and automotive infotainment software. - Experience working with Azure public cloud. - Strong problem-solving skills, awareness of DevOps and Agile principles. - Expertise in scripting languages like Python, Ruby. - Top-notch management skills and a deep appreciation of development tools, techniques, systems, and solutions. - Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
