Job Description

Role Overview: You will be joining the B+P team in India as a Principal Engineer - HVAC (Building Engineering) at AECOM. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on impactful projects globally and enhance your technical expertise within a supportive and high-performing team. Key Responsibilities: - Perform quality control review of design calculations or drawings - Prepare technical specification sections - Provide input to develop engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements - Lead HVAC system design for complex commercial, residential, and data center projects - Conduct energy modeling and analysis to optimize HVAC system performance - Collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines for integrated design solutions - Develop and implement sustainable design strategies to meet energy efficiency goals - Oversee the selection and sizing of HVAC equipment and components - Ensure compliance with local building codes, ASHRAE standards, and other relevant regulations - Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the HVAC design team - Participate in client meetings and presentations to communicate design concepts and solutions - Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and verify installation of HVAC systems Qualifications: - Master of Engineering degree (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university - Experience in retail and hospitality medium to large projects - Well-versed with ASHRAE/CIBSE/NFPA standards and regulations - Experience in commercial, residential, data center, and infrastructure projects from different geographies like USA, Canada, ANZ Region - Experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer specialized in HVAC Design - Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred - Proficiency in HVAC design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar BIM tools - Strong knowledge of energy modeling software (e.g., eQUEST, EnergyPlus, or IES-VE) Additional Information: At AECOM, the Freedom to Grow philosophy promotes flexibility and balance to help employees thrive.
