Principal Engineer , Firmware Engineering

Role Overview: You will be a Principal Engineer involved in firmware development for a diverse range of high-performance Solid State Drives (SSD). Your role will require leadership skills to manage complex programs and a comprehensive understanding of system development. Additionally, you will need a strong background in the storage industry, including experience with embedded storage processors and storage protocols. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop firmware for SSD products using C and C++ - Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout product development stages - Create debug infrastructure for efficient diagnosis of failures - Develop applications for collecting and analyzing diagnostic data, debug logs, and event data - Review system and board level specifications to ensure incorporation of all FW features, verification, and diagnostic requirements - Identify embedded system design issues early in the product development lifecycle - Drive issue resolution and ensure product stability for high-quality development - Provide mentorship to junior engineers when required Qualifications: - BE or ME/M Tech degree in Computer/Electronics/Electrical/IT Engineering or related field - 10+ years of experience in embedded firmware development - Proficiency in C/C++ for RTOS embedded systems - Knowledge of NAND flash and/or other non-volatile storage technologies - Strong debugging skills using logic analyzers and Protocol analyzers - Familiarity with software design, real-time operating systems, and hardware-software interfaces - Experience with storage protocols like PCIe & NVMe - Ability in creative problem solving and innovation - Effective communication skills and a strong team player - Knowledge of agile development and self-managed development teams (Note: Additional details about the company have been omitted from the Job Description),
