Inviting support role of Principal Consultant - AS400 In this role you have to co-ordinate and network with multiple partners to optimally deliver critical applications/solutions. You should be able to work in all phases of software development process (SDLC) with primary focus on development, maintenance, and support of various Mainframe applications related to the Capital Markets platform. Responsibilities! Utilize IBM AS400, Synon, RPG, CL, COBOL, SQL, Agile, Waterfall to develop software applications. Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle including design, development, integration, testing, implementation and support activities. Coding, testing and implementation Support QA/ UAT and regression testing Plan and Co-ordinate Software System Releases Provide information technology analysis, recommendations, and consultations Review and validate functionality documentation Design and develop test plans, test scripts, test estimation, test case review, and documentation Perform software system testing, integration testing, unit testing Work as a technical expert in design, development, testing, and debugging new system modules or enhancements Determine operational feasibility by evaluating problem definition, requirements, and proposed solutions Document and demonstrate changes by creating documentation, flowcharts, layouts, and pseudo codes Provide guidance and support to junior members of team. Actively engage with clients to understand and analyze requirements. Perform review activities for deliverables. Good understanding of tools like Aldon, SDA, WRKQRY. Develop and upgrade GUI screens. Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code. Provide support. Qualifications we seek in you! Minimum Qualifications B. Tech. / Graduate /MCA Experience of SYNON (COOL:2E) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications: Strong proficiency in AS400 technologies. Proactively identify & mitigate technical issues and risks. Work in a matrix environment consisting of Solution, Business Intelligence, and Data Integration & Quality Assurance teams and successfully collaborate to meet the project objectives . Flexible to work in extended / adjusted timing Able to work as a team member or solo contributor Strong Analytical skills. Excellent writing and communication skills. Capable of working independently and able to manage small projects with minimum supervision. RCA and Problem Management. Healthcare domain experience will be a plus Shift Day/Evening/ Flexible to rotationary shifts- as the candidate may have to work with global teams in different time zones.
