As a highly qualified Biometric Solutions Architect at UIDAI, you will be responsible for supporting the CTO in driving the strategic roadmap for biometric technologies and solutions. You will play a crucial role in leading the R&D, architecture, and implementation of scalable biometric systems, including the in-house Deep Learning-based ABIS project. This role offers you the opportunity to contribute to nation-scale identity and authentication projects using advanced AI/ML/DL capabilities. **Key Responsibilities:** - Assist the CTO in defining UIDAI's strategic roadmap for biometric technologies - Lead R&D initiatives for biometric innovations within UIDAI, including setting up a Biometric Research Centre / Centre of Excellence (COE) - Guide a multidisciplinary team of architects, engineers, and young professionals - Architect and oversee the development of UIDAI's Deep Learning-based ABIS system - Evaluate and suggest improvements to UIDAI's existing biometric systems and service providers - Propose and architect scalable solutions for biometric modules and system components - Review documentation including architecture design, test cases, SLA performance reports, and deployment artifacts - Coordinate with project managers, test and staging teams, UAT, and business stakeholders for timely delivery and rollouts - Ensure security compliance through coordination with the CISO and security teams - Work with infrastructure teams to provision necessary computing resources and manage access protocols - Deliver presentations, reports, and updates to internal and external stakeholders - Fulfill any additional responsibilities assigned by UIDAI from time to time **Qualification Requirements:** - Mandatory: M.Tech / M.E / B.E / B.Tech / M.S. / MCA from a top-tier engineering institution in India or abroad - Preferred: Masters or PhD in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related fields from reputed national or international institutions **Experience Requirements:** - 7-10 years of hands-on experience in IT architecture design and large-scale project implementation in software product companies - Proven experience with biometric solutions implementation or AI/ML/DL-based systems in large-scale, mission-critical projects - Strong understanding of biometric algorithms, biometric devices, and identity management systems **Technical And General Competencies:** - Demonstrated ability to architect at least one major AI/ML/DL-enabled or biometric-heavy solution - In-depth knowledge of biometric algorithm development and application-level integration - Deep Learning, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence technologies - Microservices architecture and high-availability database systems - IT infrastructure gap assessments and enterprise tech stack modernization - Ability to evaluate system performance through architectural and hands-on coding assessments - Experience in reviewing architecture documents, SLAs, test plans, and release reports - Strong process and compliance orientation, with a track record of working with cross-functional teams including security, infrastructure, and business stakeholders This job description was retrieved from hirist.tech.,
