Principal Applied Scientist - Oracle Health

As a leading contributor in this role, you will provide guidance and mentorship to define, design, and deliver product quality improvements from the ideation stage to shipping to the customer. Your responsibilities will include: - Writing high-quality code to power experiments and build models - Contributing to writing production model code - Working closely with product management and engineering to deliver products that solve the needs of customers by building relevant, innovative results which strategically differentiate Oracle in the market - Setting up environments needed to run experiments for all projects - Setting up distributed environments - Engaging with customers to help solve complex problems - Directly impacting customers via innovation in products and services that make use of ML/AI technology - Clearly articulating technical work to audiences of all levels and across multiple functional areas - Keeping track of the progress and ensuring the team is following the best practices - Working on training data collection, feature engineering, model training, offline and online experimentation - Driving independent research and development - Advancing the state-of-the-art machine learning and algorithms for real-world large-scale applications - Ensuring solutions are designed with fairness and explainability in mind - Performing other duties as assigned Qualifications required for this role include: - Strong experience in software development and machine learning - Proficiency in coding and building models - Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to various audiences - Experience in working with product management and engineering teams - Knowledge of ML/AI technology and its applications - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work on complex issues - Experience in setting up and running experiments in distributed environments In this position, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our customers by driving innovation in products and services.
