We are seeking a skilled Plant 3D Piping Designer to join our team and contribute to various industrial projects. As a Plant 3D Piping Designer, your main responsibility will be designing and detailing piping systems using Plant 3D software. You will focus on creating accurate and efficient piping layouts and detailed drawings that meet project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations. Using Plant 3D software, you will develop detailed piping designs, isometrics, and construction drawings. Collaboration with engineers and project managers is essential to comprehend project requirements, scope, and objectives. Building 3D models of piping systems, equipment, and supports based on design calculations and specifications will be part of your role. It is crucial to ensure that the designs comply with relevant codes, standards (such as ASME, ANSI, API), and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with other disciplines like process, mechanical, and structural engineers to integrate piping designs into the overall plant layout. Site visits and surveys may be required to gather field data and verify design requirements. Additionally, responsibilities include preparing material take-offs, bill of materials (BOMs), and cost estimates for piping components and installations. Your role involves reviewing and revising designs based on feedback from stakeholders, including engineering team members and clients. You will assist in resolving technical issues during construction and provide support to the project team as necessary. To excel in this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as a Piping Designer using Plant 3D software or similar CAD tools is required. A solid understanding of piping design principles, pipe routing, materials selection, and piping specifications is essential. Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), and technical documents is a must. Attention to detail is crucial for producing accurate drawings and designs. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment are important. Familiarity with project management principles and practices is advantageous. Holding a Professional Engineer (PE) license or certification is considered a plus.
