Primegen, Chennai’s leading genetic and newborn screening laboratory, is seeking an experienced, results-driven General Manager — Sales & Marketing to independently lead and accelerate business growth. The GM will develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans, build partnerships with clinicians and hospitals, manage a high-performing team, and drive revenue and market-share targets. Key responsibilities Define and implement sales and marketing strategy for genetic and newborn screening services Drive new client acquisition (hospitals, clinics, pediatricians, OB‑GYNs), corporate tie-ups and channel partnerships Build, mentor and manage the sales & marketing team; set targets and track performance Own commercial P&L, budgeting, forecasting and pricing decisions Collaborate with lab, clinical and operations teams to ensure service quality and customer satisfaction Represent Primegen at industry events and develop key stakeholder relationships Qualifications 8–12+ years’ experience in healthcare/diagnostics/laboratory sales & marketing, with proven leadership experience (GM/Head of Sales preferred) Demonstrated track record of meeting revenue targets, business development and P&L ownership Strong network and experience engaging hospitals, clinicians and referral sources Excellent communication, negotiation and strategic-planning skills Self-motivated, independent worker with an entrepreneurial mindset MBA or equivalent is advantageous
