Study Hall Educational Foundation (SHEF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting gender equality and developing democratic citizens through innovative approaches in curriculum, pedagogy, technology, and teacher transformation. SHEF operates a network of nine types of schools and programs serving diverse groups in rural and urban India, including girls, disabled children, rural youth, and out-of-school children. Utilizing Critical Feminist Pedagogy and the Universe of Care, SHEF has scaled its model to over 1,000 government schools, trained 5,000 government teachers, and impacted nearly one million children.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Primary Teacher located in Lucknow. The Primary Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, teaching elementary subjects to young students, assessing student progress, and communicating effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. The role involves fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the academic and personal growth of each student.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Curriculum Development and Elementary Education
Strong Teaching skills and experience in early childhood education
Effective Communication abilities to interact with students, parents, and staff
Relevant Education qualifications such as a degree in Education or related field
Passion for working with young children and improving educational outcomes
Ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial
Commitment to the values and mission of SHEF
