Location

  • Monday – Friday

    : Full-day working
  • 1st & 3rd Saturday

    : Half-day working
  • 2nd & 4th Saturday

    : Weekly off

Role Overview

As a Primary School Mentor, you will play a crucial role in guiding young learners in their foundational years. You will support their academic, social, and emotional development while collaborating with teachers, parents, and school administrators to ensure a well-rounded and engaging educational experience.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Academic Support

    :
    • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and objectives.
    • Identify students’ learning needs and provide personalized attention to enhance their academic performance.
    • Develop creative teaching aids and activities to foster a love for learning.

  1. Mentorship and Guidance

    :
    • Act as a mentor and role model to primary school students, guiding them in their academic, emotional, and social development.
    • Address students’ individual concerns and provide appropriate solutions.
    • Promote a positive classroom environment that encourages collaboration, curiosity, and respect.

  1. Collaboration

    :
    • Work closely with teachers and the school administration to create and implement effective educational strategies.
    • Maintain regular communication with parents to provide updates on students’ progress and address concerns.
    • Participate in school meetings, workshops, and professional development programs.

  1. Student Well-Being

    :
    • Ensure the physical and emotional safety of students within the classroom and during school activities.
    • Identify and address behavioral issues with empathy and understanding.
    • Foster inclusivity and create a nurturing environment where all students feel valued.

  1. Administrative Duties

    :
    • Maintain accurate records of students’ attendance, academic progress, and achievements.
    • Assist in organizing and participating in school events, extracurricular activities, and competitions.
    • Contribute to maintaining discipline and order within the school premises.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (B.Ed. preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of teaching or mentoring experience in primary education.
  • Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy, patience, and the ability to build trust with young learners.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Familiarity with technology and innovative teaching tools to enhance learning outcomes.
