The successful candidate will design and deliver engaging art lessons that foster creativity, critical thinking, and self-expression in students. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement a dynamic and age-appropriate art curriculum aligned with school standards. Teach foundational skills in drawing, painting, sculpture, collage, and other visual art forms. Introduce students to art history, multicultural art traditions, and contemporary artists. Encourage creative thinking and experimentation with materials and techniques. Create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment conducive to learning. Assess student progress through observation, portfolios, and formative assessments. Organize student artwork for displays, exhibitions, and school events. Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate art with other subjects where appropriate. Participate in school meetings, professional development, and parent-teacher conferences. Maintain supplies and manage the art classroom efficiently. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or related field (required). Teaching certification or license appropriate for primary education (preferred). Previous experience teaching art at the primary/elementary level. Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate pedagogies. Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills. Creative, flexible, and enthusiastic about arts education. Preferred Skills and Experience: Familiarity with national or international curriculum standards (e.g., IB PYP, British National Curriculum). Experience using digital tools for art instruction or student projects. Ability to adapt instruction for students with diverse learning needs.
