Precast Tekla Modeler – Structural designer

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Structural designer with experience in commercial and industrial building projects to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural modeling, detailing, and engineering support, particularly in precast concrete systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop accurate and detailed 3D models using Tekla Structures for commercial and industrial building projects.
• Prepare comprehensive shop drawings, GA drawings, and reinforcement details for precast and structural elements.
• developing models for walls, beams, columns, panels, rebar detailing (including precise details on bends, hooks, and other end treatments) and ensuring model accuracy and compliance with BIM
• tools ; Revit and Tekla Structures
• experience of handling Canadian and USA region projects
• experience range dedicated to precast structures of minimum 12 to 20years.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination of design intent and construction feasibility.
• Apply industry standards and project specifications to ensure model accuracy and drafting quality.
• Support the engineering team in precast layout planning, connection detailing, and quantity take-offs.
• Identify and resolve modeling clashes and constructability issues during the design phase.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficient in Tekla Structures with a focus on precast concrete modeling.
• Experience in commercial and industrial building projects is essential.
• Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and team collaboration abilities.
• Diploma or degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field is preferred.
