To ensure the smooth functioning of the IN PATIENT (IP) department and to provide in-patient services on floors, you will be responsible for carrying out routine clerical and administrative tasks in the ward. Your role will involve coordinating with the nursing staff to ensure that more time is available for them to provide professional nursing care. You will be required to work in rotational shifts and adhere to the dress code as per the hospital norms. Your responsibilities in the area of patient relations will include knowing the number of patients, new admissions, and addressing any night problems. You will need to update admission and discharge registers, update the census board, and ensure that patients receive proper nursing, maintenance, and dietary services. Any specific complaints must be attended to promptly, and you will be responsible for informing the relevant support staff to address patient concerns. Additionally, you will need to follow up on pending investigations, receive and file investigation reports, ensure billing clearance, and coordinate referrals and doctor visits. It will also be your responsibility to report significant incidents to the in-charge and manage various tasks during patient admissions and discharges. On the administrative front, you will be required to attend phone calls, work collaboratively with nurses, participate in training and self-development programs, and attend meetings. Good communication skills in Telugu, English, and Hindi, along with strong presentation skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, are essential for this role. The job requires working in a closed environment within hospital wards, including sensitive areas like AMC, ICCU, and INCU. You should be prepared for standing and walking for extended periods, frequent interruptions, and handling multiple tasks concurrently. The educational qualification for this position is any graduate degree, with a minimum of 1 year of experience preferred in hospital settings. A well-groomed appearance, good health, and the ability to communicate effectively in English, Hindi, and Telugu are necessary.
