Job Description – Sub Station Design Engineer As a Substation Design Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the design, analysis, and development of electrical substations for utility and industrial client. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs meet technical standards, safety regulations, and project specifications. Position Design Engineer Department Electrical Engineering Location Nehru Place, New Delhi Educational Qualification B. Tech / B.E (Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics) Years of Experience 3-4 years Technical Skill · Knowledge of electrical codes and standards (IEEE, IEC, NEC) · Proficiency in relevant design software & tools (e.g., ETAP, DIgSILENT, or similar) is a plus. · Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills · Should have design experience hands on for design of 220KV & 400 KV AIS & GIS substations · Should be familiar with all electrical codes, Indian & international · Should have designed at least two substations. · Should be capable & experience on primary / secondary engineering. · Proficient in English, Hindi. Roles & Responsibilities · Design electrical substations in accordance with technical specifications, project requirements, and safety standards. · Ensure compliance with relevant Indian standards (e.g., IS 694, IS 2026, IS 3231) and international standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC) in substation design. · Evaluate vendor proposals and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements and quality standards. · Preparation of Substation’s engineering related drawings & documents at least up to 132KV. · Should have worked on Engineering calculations & experience on software like E Tap / CymeDIST. · Assist in the design and layout of electrical substations, including the selection and specification of electrical equipment. · Prepare and review single-line diagrams, protection and control schemes, and layout drawings. · Prepare technical documentation, reports, and drawings for substation projects. · Assist with the review and approval of vendor drawings and equipment specifications. · Client meeting & coordination.
