Power BI consultant

As a Power BI Consultant with 5 years of relevant experience, you will be responsible for creating insightful and interactive reports and dashboards using BI tools such as Power BI to visualize and communicate key performance indicators. You will collaborate with business users to gather reporting requirements and ensure that deliverables meet their needs. Your role will involve optimizing SQL queries for better performance and responsiveness, as well as troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues in a timely manner. It is essential to stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in the BI domain and make recommendations for adopting new tools or methodologies to improve BI capabilities. You should have hands-on experience working with complex DAX queries and be proficient in working with various data sources and handling multiple modes of reports (e.g., Import, Direct query). Additionally, you must be comfortable working with various databases such as PostgreSQL, MSQL, etc., and have experience in developing robust, high-quality code with SQL programming, writing stored procedures, and data modeling knowledge. Knowledge of advanced SQL programming concepts like CTE (Common Table Expressions), SUB-queries, and handling complex joins is important. You will be responsible for creating desired indexes, tuning SQL queries, debugging, and analyzing performance issues to ensure quality delivery of code through testing techniques. Experience in developing engaging visual reports/dashboards, creating and applying themes and templates, and a good understanding of the latest Power BI features, best practices, and limitations are desired. Additionally, you should have experience in designing pages and a basic understanding of data modeling to excel in this role.
