Postgres Admin

As a PostgreSQL Database Administrator (DBA) with 6+ years of relevant experience, your role will involve managing complex PostgreSQL environments to ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance. You will be responsible for database architecture & design, performance tuning & optimization, backup and recovery, high availability & replication, security & compliance, monitoring & maintenance, as well as upgrades & migrations. Key Responsibilities: - Design and maintain complex database schemas and architecture - Conduct performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing - Implement and manage robust backup strategies and disaster recovery planning - Set up and maintain HA environments using various tools - Implement security measures and ensure compliance with best practices - Proactively monitor database health and perform routine maintenance - Plan and execute PostgreSQL version upgrades and migrations to cloud platforms Required Skills: - 6+ years of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL - Strong expertise in PL/pgSQL scripting and Linux/Unix-based systems - Experience with HA tools, backup tools, and cloud-native deployments - Familiarity with database automation and monitoring best practices Good-to-Have Skills: - Experience with other databases and PostgreSQL Operators for Kubernetes - Understanding of Infrastructure as Code tools and CI/CD practices - Knowledge in clustering, sharding, and advanced replication setups - Familiarity with network monitoring, database auditing, and vulnerability management Certifications (Preferred, but Not Mandatory): - AWS Certified Database Specialty - Other relevant PostgreSQL or cloud certifications Soft Skills: - Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Proven ability to work in a cross-functional and collaborative environment - Effective stakeholder and project management skills In this role, you will go through a hiring process that includes screening (HR Round), Technical Round 1, Technical Round 2, and Final HR Round.
