Role Overview: You will be a Senior Test Engineer at Citco, based in Hyderabad, India. As part of the Reconciliation IT team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that top financial clients globally have access to their critical information assets through the development and maintenance of automation test scripts. Key Responsibilities: - Assess the technical practicality of testing solutions across various technology platforms. - Plan, build, execute, and maintain manual and automated end-to-end (E2E) tests, analyzing the results. - Develop automation test scripts using Python and Selenium. - Utilize performance test tools like Jmeter and performance monitoring tools like Dynatrace. - Create test cases for UI testing with Playwright or Selenium and integrate results with JIRA using X-Ray. - Collaborate with developers and business owners to define testing requirements. - Conduct code reviews to ensure the quality of test cases. - Develop automation solutions supporting the product and engineering roadmap. - Participate in team activities such as Sprint Planning, Sprint Execution, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective. - Mentor junior resources and work with offshore/distributed teams as needed. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent. - Minimum 5 years of software test development experience in an agile cross-functional team environment. - Experience in Load/Performance testing of web-based applications and RESTful APIs. - Hands-on experience with automated testing using Robot Framework or Selenium, with preference for 2+ years of programming in Python/Node.js. - Proficiency in UI testing tools like Playwright or Selenium. - Familiarity with DevOps practices and cloud technologies such as AWS. - Understanding of Project Management and Test Management tools like JIRA and X-Ray. - Knowledge of code management using git. - Familiarity with json, yaml, and graphql is a plus. - Exposure to CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, or CodePipeline is advantageous. - Self-motivated with strong problem-solving, communication, and client service skills. - Knowledge of the financial industry is beneficial but not mandatory.
