Job Summary: The Digital Printing Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining digital printing machines to produce high-quality designs on various PVC and other plastic-based products, such as doors and marble sheets. This role is crucial to our production line, ensuring that all digital prints meet our stringent quality standards and customer specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical aptitude, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Machine Operation: Set up and operate large-format digital printing machines, including loading materials (e.g., PVC sheets, doors) and preparing the print files. File and Design Management: Receive and prepare digital files for printing, ensuring they are formatted correctly and ready for production. Adjust print settings and color profiles to achieve the desired output. Quality Control: Monitor the printing process to ensure consistency, accuracy, and print quality. Inspect finished products for defects, color discrepancies, or errors. Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the printing equipment to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues and machine malfunctions. Workflow Management: Manage the workflow of multiple print jobs simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet production deadlines. Inventory Management: Track and maintain inventory of printing supplies, including inks, media, and other consumables. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a safe and clean work environment. Collaboration: Work closely with the production and design teams to ensure a seamless workflow and to address any production-related challenges. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all print jobs, including job details, machine settings, and maintenance logs. Qualifications and Skills: High school diploma or equivalent; a technical certificate or vocational training in printing technology or a related field is a plus. Proven experience as a Digital Printing Operator or a similar role in a manufacturing or printing environment. Strong understanding of digital printing processes and technology. Proficiency in using a computer and relevant software for print production (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, RIP software). Excellent attention to detail and color accuracy. Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on printing equipment. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods and lift/move heavy materials as required. Good communication and teamwork skills.
