Responsibilities Pre-Survey Intelligence & Disruption Forecasting: Conduct reconnaissance of areas identified for upcoming survey activity to detect and assess potential resistance. Identify individuals or groups likely to instigate disruption or mislead the community (e.g., local strongmen, informal leaders, hawala operatives, politically-backed gangs). Provide actionable intel to the security and survey teams with recommended approach routes, precautionary measures, and possible countermeasures. Coordinate with the control room to maintain real-time status updates on risky zones and volatile communities. Law Enforcement & Political Liaisoning Maintain strong and continuous coordination with local police stations (Beat Marshals, DCP, ACP) to facilitate proactive deployment in high-risk zones. Build and maintain working relationships with corporators, ward-level political functionaries, and informal community leaders. Act as NMDPLs intelligence representative during inter-agency meetings related to law & order, survey logistics, and security planning. Real-Time Ground Intelligence Collection Operate a ground intelligence network comprising informants, residents, and trusted field-level sources to receive early warnings on: Political mobilization, Protest planning, Criminal activity by Western railway gangs, extortionists, or illegal tenants, Community rumors and sentiment shifts Area Clearance & Securing Ground For Project Teams Before any NMDPL or contractor team steps into a new area, verify and confirm: Presence of hostile actors or protest plans, Law enforcement coordination is in place, Political sensitivities are mapped and Community temperature is neutral or manageable. Work with the Security team to deploy pre-emptive visibility (police vans, security patrols, area flags) to establish authority and reduce surprise elements. Incident Tracking & Reporting Maintain a structured tracker of: Resistance movements, Political meetings or mobilizations, Police deployments or legal interventions, Intelligence briefs submitted and acted upon Submit weekly intelligence reports to the Chief Security & Intelligence with ground movement analysis, risk maps, and recommendations. Confidential Source Management Build and manage a network of confidential informants and community-level embedded observers. Ensure secrecy, trust, and ethical handling of all information sources. Use coded intel protocols for sensitive or high-stakes information. Surveillance Coordination Coordinate discreet surveillance activities (foot, vehicle-based, digital if available) in high-alert zones. Monitor activities near survey camps, temporary offices, and team movement paths. Guide Security team on placement of mobile patrols or static guards based on ongoing intel. Qualifications Education Qualification: Bachelors degree in Business Management, Instrumentation, Engineering, or a relevant field is required. Work Experience(Range Of Years) 15-20 Years Preferred Industry Experience in intelligence, policing, or ground-level security operations.
