PLM Application Engineer

As a PLM Application Engineer at Lucy Electric, you will be responsible for providing CAD and PLM application support to Engineers & manufacturing teams across the group. Your role will involve developing best practices, creating user guides, delivering mentoring and ad-hoc training for new users, and supporting new software or working practices. Additionally, you will assist in projects as required, collaborating with core IS services, design engineers, and third parties. You should have a background in support and be proficient in Siemens NX environments, including modelling, drafting, and working with large assemblies. Ideally, you should be comfortable in an engineering environment and adept at handling multiple requests simultaneously. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze PLM business processes, document business requirements, and collaborate with the IS team, Engineers, manufacturing, and suppliers to develop solutions. - Document process workflows and create test cases for development, preparing systems for production releases. - Provide Teamcenter expertise to support ongoing and upcoming PLM projects. - Support the PLM team on Teamcenter workflows, integrations with NX, Eplan, Simulation, and D365. - Enhance Teamcenter capability to improve Lucy Engineering and operation teams. - Provide rapid helpdesk support to Engineers, manage calls on the IS helpdesk system, and collaborate with colleagues for issue resolution. - Develop best practice material for knowledge-based articles to reduce helpdesk calls. - Champion the use of Teamcenter AWC with NX, Eplan, simulation, and other business tools to support company objectives. - Configure and maintain Teamcenter interface through the use of Customer Defaults. - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of CAD/PLM solutions and Microsoft technologies. - Participate in the development of departmental strategies and provide technical expertise and support as required. Qualifications Required: - 5+ years" experience in Teamcenter Application with PDM/PLM background. - Proficiency in Windows desktop and server operations. - Experience in creating workflows for Teamcenter and NX CAD. - Ability to produce high-standard system documentation. - User experience within an NX CAD function, providing advice and assistance to colleagues. - Proficiency in Python or any other scripting language.
