PLC Software Engineer (M&M)

As a PLC Software Engineer at LNT/PSE/1349048 with MMH-Minerals & Metals in Kolkata, you will be responsible for utilizing your skills and knowledge in PLC and SCADA systems integration, automation, refining technology, and more to contribute effectively to the development and maintenance of industrial automation systems. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Demonstrating proficiency in PLC/DCS programming on platforms such as Rockwell, Siemens, and ABB. - Developing HMI/SCADA systems on Rockwell, Siemens, and ABB platforms. - Engaging in commissioning activities related to automation systems. - Utilizing troubleshooting skills and establishing networks effectively. - Implementing communication protocols like Modbus, OPC, Ethernet IP, Profinet, Profibus, IEC 61850 for system interfacing. You will also be involved in: - Designing and developing PLC and HMI software for heavy industrial equipment in various sectors including ports, power plants, steel plants, and mines. - Creating software for Utility & BOP in process plants and material handling projects. - Conducting Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) at vendors" premises. - Performing pre-commissioning and networking activities on-site. - Commissioning PLC systems on-site and coordinating with third-party suppliers for seamless integration of sub-systems. Additionally, you will be responsible for: - Troubleshooting issues during Operation & Maintenance phases. - Providing support to customers as part of after-sales service. This role requires a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) & Master of Technology (M.Tech) qualification along with 3 to 15 years of relevant experience.
