Job Description

As a PLC Programmer at our company, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and troubleshooting control programs for automated industrial systems used in manufacturing plants and assembly lines. Your key responsibilities will include: - Program Development: Developing PLC programs using industry-standard languages such as Ladder Logic, Structured Text, Function Block Diagram (FBD), and Sequential Function Chart (SFC). - System Design: Creating and interpreting electrical schematics, logic diagrams, and P&ID drawings to define the operation of automation systems. - HMI / SCADA Integration: Designing intuitive HMI screens and integrating PLC systems with SCADA platforms for real-time monitoring and control. - Installation & Commissioning: Supervising installation of control systems and performing on-site testing and commissioning to ensure reliable system performance. - Troubleshooting: Identifying, analyzing, and resolving hardware and software issues to minimize production downtime. - Documentation: Preparing and maintaining comprehensive documentation, including program logic, wiring diagrams, and operation manuals for future reference and maintenance. In terms of qualifications, we are looking for candidates who possess: - Education: Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering. - Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in PLC programming and Control & Instrumentation (C&I) activities. - PLC Platforms: Proficiency in one or more major PLC platforms such as Allen-Bradley (Rockwell), ABB, Siemens (TIA Portal), Schneider Electric, Mitsubishi, or Beckhoff. - Engineering Tools: Experience with AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar tools for electrical schematic design and documentation. - Industrial Communication: Working knowledge of industrial protocols including Modbus, Profibus, EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, etc. Additionally, some soft skills that would be beneficial for this role include: - Logical Thinking: Strong ability to visualize complex process sequences and interdependencies. - Problem Solving: Effective analytical skills to diagnose and resolve system issues under time constraints. - Team Collaboration: Ability to work efficiently within cross-functional teams. - Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel for site surveys, system commissioning, and maintenance activities.
