Your responsibilities at HARMAN DTS will include developing and executing test scripts to validate data pipelines, transformations, and integrations. You will formulate and maintain test strategies covering smoke, performance, functional, and regression testing to ensure that data processing and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) jobs meet requirements. Collaborating with development teams, you will assess changes in data workflows and update test cases to ensure data integrity. Additionally, you will design and run tests for data validation, storage, and retrieval using Azure services such as Data Lake, Synapse, and Data Factory while adhering to industry standards. Continuous enhancement of automated tests to align with new features is essential to ensure timely delivery according to defined quality standards. Participation in data reconciliation, verification of Data Quality frameworks, and maintenance of data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across the platform are integral parts of your role. Sharing knowledge and best practices, documenting testing processes and findings, and effectively communicating testing progress to stakeholders to align with business objectives are key responsibilities. Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the Azure Data Lake platform's data landscape is crucial to ensure thorough testing coverage. To be successful in this role, you should have 5-8 years of Quality Assurance (QA) experience with a focus on Big Data testing, particularly in Data Lake environments on Azure's cloud platform. Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Databricks for big data processing and scaled data quality checks is required. Strong SQL skills for writing and optimizing both simple and complex queries for data validation and testing purposes are essential. Proficiency in PySpark with experience in data manipulation and transformation, as well as the ability to write and execute test scripts for data processing and validation, is necessary. Hands-on experience in functional and system integration testing in big data environments, ensuring seamless data flow and accuracy across multiple systems, is expected. Knowledge of designing and executing test cases in a behaviour-driven development environment, fluency in Agile methodologies, familiarity with tools like Jira, and experience in working on high-traffic and large-scale software products are advantageous.
