Role Description This is a full-time role for a Structural Engineer at Plant EngTech Private Limited, located in Tiruchirappalli. The Structural Engineer will be responsible for performing structural analyses and calculations, designing and developing structural plans, and ensuring adherence to industry standards. Key tasks include utilizing STAAD Pro, X Steel, and SACS tools for structural design, collaborating with the engineering team to ensure project objectives are met. Create structural design models using STAAD Pro for building/industrial/infrastructure projects Use X‑steel (or equivalent steel detailing/connection design software) to design steel connections, sections, detailing AND REQUIRES EXPERIENCE IN OIL & GAS SECTOR Use SACS (for example, for offshore structures, platforms, marine or dynamic load analyses) to perform stress analysis, load calculations, fatigue, etc. Check structural integrity (load bearing, safety, serviceability, seismic / wind loads where applicable) Coordinate with architects, mechanical/other engineering teams, site teams Ensure compliance with local / international codes (e.g. IS (India), AISC, Euro code, API, etc.), standards, specifications Prepare technical documentation, reports, design calculations & Strong foundation in structural mechanics / materials / steel and concrete design Ability to design for various loads: dead, live, wind, seismic, dynamic, fatigue etc. Knowledge of detailing for fabrication, connections, welding, bolts etc. Understanding of code requirements, safety factors, durability, tolerances Software Proficiency · STAAD Pro : For structural analysis and design of buildings and offshore structures. · X-Steel (Tekla Structures) : For 3D modeling and detailing of steel structures. · SACS : Specialized software for offshore structural analysis, especially in oil & gas projects. · Additional tools: AutoCAD, SAP2000, ETABS, Revit, and MS Office. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering/ Structural Engineering, or related field. Skills in Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering Offshore Oil and Gas Projects Proficiency in Structural Analysis and Calculations Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools such as STAAD Pro, X Steel, and SACS Good communication and teamwork skills Location - Tiruchirappalli
