Job Description

(A) Job Description : Undertaking below tasks (1) Prepare Piping Material Specification (PMS). (2) Prepare Datasheets, undertake RFQ/MR, TBA and VDR for Valves and Special Materials. (3) Coordinate with 3D model Admin for creation of 3D model PMCs. (4) Pipe wall thickness calculation as per ASME B31.3 (5) Branch calculations as per ASME B31.3 (B) Knowledge Base / Soft Skills (1) Good understanding and awareness of : (i) Commonly used piping materials and their suitability for various services. (ii) ASME codes for Piping bulk items, Valves, Special Materials. (iii) Construction features of Valves and Special Materials. (iv) Buried piping material requirements. Below experience will be an added advantage (a) Awareness about piping material composition and manufacturing processes (b) Awareness about ASTM specifications. (c) Awareness about EN codes and standards. (d) Piping MR/BOQ (MTO) (e) Procurement process for Piping components (f) Awareness about Inspection and Testing requirements. (g) Awareness about Aveva ERM and/or Hexagon SRD. (C) Position specific requirements (1) Sector Oil & Gas and/or Chemical (2) Educational Qualification Mechanical / Metallurgy Engineering Degree from a reputed institute. (3) Software exposure Experience in Aveva ERM is an added advantage. (4) Experience 10-13 years hands-on experience in Piping Materials Engineering of Oil & Gas and/or Chemical Sector projects.
