Piping Designer

Role & responsibilities

The Piping Designer will be responsible for checking and approving drawings / designs, interface communication, and ensuring the accuracy, reliability, efficiency, and safety of the piping scope of work for Hyperscale Data Center Modules that should meet customer's requirements and Industrial Standards they produce.

Background

 * Piping design and drafting.

 * Resources who can move between piping, structural and mechanical are highly preferred or should show adaptability and interest to move between piping, structural and mechanical designs on various software programs.

 * Should have experience in adaptability to various software programs within piping and outside piping.

 * General knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations relevant to piping.

 * Ability to produce drawings / sketches to illustrate design / ideas.

 * Provide and check drawings / BOM as per customer requirements.

 * Prepare bulk MTOs (Material Take Offs) and detailed BOMs (Bill of Materials) with no supervision from Engineer.

 * Ensure drawings follow the Engineering and QA/QC standards.

 * Prepare and complete various Mechanical, Piping deliverable drawings and documents such as piping layout/general arrangements, piping isometrics, piping schedule, piping tie-point / interface drawings, piping insulation details, pipe support details, manual valve list, flow diagrams, Process and Instrument Diagrams, pump alignment drawings, etc.

 * Review, as required, vendor data and drawings to ensure compliance with client specifications or applicable standards.

 * Spec creation experience.
