As a Senior Pipeline Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in advancing our dynamic and inclusive environment, where everyone can grow and thrive. With your expertise, you will contribute to the engineering discipline within McDermott, acting as a resource for colleagues and sharing your conceptual and practical knowledge related to pipeline engineering. Your responsibilities will include performing engineering for onshore and offshore pipeline systems, conducting detailed analyses and designs in accordance with project specifications and industry standards, and preparing clear and accurate design calculations and reports. You will be required to communicate complex issues effectively, identify scope changes, and raise change notifications promptly. Additionally, you will participate in project meetings, vendor interactions, and site surveys as necessary, provide technical direction to Designers, review design reports and procedures, and assist in procurement activities. Your role will involve collaborating with various disciplines, ensuring compliance with project specifications, and supporting fabrication queries and design verification processes. As a seasoned professional in the Oil and Gas industry with 7-10 years of experience, you should hold a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and possess strong knowledge of design techniques, engineering standards, and software tools. Your ability to work independently, communicate effectively in English, and demonstrate a cost-conscious and safety-focused approach will be essential. Further qualifications such as a Master's degree or professional engineering certification are preferred. In this role, you will report to the Project Engineer or Lead Engineer for project-related matters and to the Department Manager for functional guidance. Collaboration with various stakeholders including engineering disciplines, fabrication groups, safety departments, vendors, and customers will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. Your role will also involve supervising engineers, providing guidance to less experienced colleagues, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.
