QSR Cook/Multitasking Helper Job Description Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and adaptable QSR Cook/Multitasking Helper to join our quick service restaurant team. This role requires a can-do attitude and the ability to work efficiently across various tasks, ensuring high-quality food, a clean environment, and fast, friendly customer service. The ideal candidate thrives in a busy setting and is a collaborative team player. Key Responsibilities: Food Preparation & Cooking: Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards. Stock and set up food stations with all necessary ingredients and equipment. Ensure all food items are prepared, cooked, and stored according to food safety and sanitation guidelines, including checking temperatures. Assist with basic food prep tasks such as washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients. Cleaning & Sanitation: Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized work area, including countertops, utensils, and all kitchen equipment (grills, fryers, ovens, etc.). Perform opening and closing cleaning duties, such as sweeping, mopping floors, and taking out trash. Wash and properly store dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware. Multitasking & Operational Support: Assist with receiving and unloading food and supply deliveries, ensuring proper storage and stock rotation (FIFO). Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages to the manager. Provide support to front-of-house staff or assist with customer interactions and cash handling as needed. Adapt to changing circumstances and assist with other duties as assigned by the shift manager or supervisor. Qualifications & Skills: Prior experience in a fast-paced kitchen or food service environment is highly desired. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations (a Food Handler's card/certification is a plus). Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently. Strong attention to detail, especially concerning food quality and presentation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team. Physical stamina and strength to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
