Physician Assistant, Emergency Department

As a Physician Assistant (PA) at Mass General Brigham Medical Group Northern Massachusetts, Inc., you will be responsible for providing high-quality and timely care to patients with various chief complaints. You will work under the supervision of supervising physicians to manage very sick patients, handle high acuity procedures, and perform medical screening examinations in the Emergency Room. Your role may involve assuming care for patients of all ages within your professional practice guidelines, supporting all areas of the department, and working in the Medical Observation Unit. Key Responsibilities: - Provide direct care, counseling, and teaching to a designated patient population in various settings. - Perform complete histories and physical examinations. - Order, interpret, and evaluate appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests. - Develop appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on findings. - Order medications and write prescriptions according to policies. - Provide high-quality and timely documentation including admission and progress notes, procedure notes, and discharge summaries. - Perform bedside procedures suitable for the patient population.
