PHP Developer

The PHP Developer (CodeIgniter) position at Cogniter Technologies in Chandigarh, India is a full-time opportunity for an experienced individual to contribute to the development of robust, scalable, and high-performance web applications. As a PHP Developer at Cogniter Technologies, your key responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications using the CodeIgniter PHP framework. You will collaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless integration between backend systems and user interfaces. Additionally, you will write clean, modular, and maintainable code following industry best practices, proactively identify and resolve bugs, inefficiencies, and performance bottlenecks, and design, implement, and optimize secure and high-performance relational databases. You will also integrate third-party APIs and external services to enhance application capabilities, work closely with UI/UX designers, frontend developers, and QA teams, conduct code reviews, testing, and debugging, and maintain technical documentation for codebases, APIs, and processes. To be successful in this role, you should have proven experience as a PHP Developer with expertise in the CodeIgniter framework, strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX, experience in integrating APIs and working with third-party services, familiarity with version control tools like Git, strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Preferred qualifications include experience with Laravel or other PHP frameworks, understanding of RESTful API architecture, and exposure to cloud hosting environments such as AWS or Azure.
