Description
Role & responsibilities Design and develop high-quality PHP-based applications that are scalable, robust, and secure. Architect and implement solutions that meet business requirements and adhere to best practices and coding standards. Lead and mentor a team of PHP developers, providing guidance, code reviews, and support. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables. Optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions. Ensure all applications are secure, reliable, and perform well under load. Stay up to date with the latest PHP developments, industry trends, and best practices. Develop and maintain technical documentation for architectural designs, processes, and procedures. Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from planning and design to testing, deployment, and maintenance. Continuously improve the development process and contribute to a culture of innovation and excellence. Preferred candidate profile Proven 10+ years experience as a PHP Architect or in a similar senior development role. Should have done at least 3 major PHP app development and deployments. Extensive experience with PHP and frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or Zend. Strong understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js). Experience with database design and management (MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL databases). Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong understanding of web security principles and best practices. Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API design is a plus. Knowledge of other programming languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js is a plus. Experience with DevOps practices and tools is a plus Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools is a plus.
