Junior Civil Engineer Job Description Summary: The Junior Civil Engineer is an entry-level professional who assists senior staff in the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects. This role focuses on applying fundamental engineering principles and gaining practical field experience under supervision. Key Responsibilities: Design & Drafting Support: Assist in preparing detailed engineering drawings and plans using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D). Perform basic engineering calculations (e.g., quantity take-offs, simple load calculations) as directed. Site and Field Work: Conduct site visits, surveys, and data collection (e.g., soil samples, measurements) to support design and construction. Serve as a point of contact between the site crew and the design team for technical clarifications. Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and maintain technical documentation, progress reports, and project logs. Assist in compiling cost estimations and material requirements lists. Compliance: Ensure all site activities and documentation comply with basic safety regulations and quality control standards .
