Job Description

Role Overview: Are you passionate about understanding how people interpret risk and interested in shaping tools and research to enhance their risk literacy This is a unique opportunity to join the TAPMI Doctoral Programme as a PhD Scholar in Behavioral Sciences, focusing on risk literacy and risk communication. Collaborate with an international partnership between T. A. Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), India, and Max Planck Institute for Human Development (MPIB), Germany, and contribute to cutting-edge research in this field. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and validate a psychometric scale for risk literacy - Conduct literature reviews and meta-analyses - Design behavioral experiments - Collaborate on interdisciplinary research projects globally - Present research findings at academic conferences and contribute to publications Qualification Required: - Hold a Master's degree in economics/finance, management, psychology/cognitive science, mathematics, or related fields - Possess strong literature review and scientific synthesis skills - Proficient in programming and analytical skills (e.g., Python, R, etc.) - Demonstrate a keen interest in behavioral research and financial decision-making Immerse yourself in a structured PhD supervision within an interdisciplinary and international environment. Benefit from a monthly scholarship of 35,000 in the first 2 years, increasing to 40,000 in the following 2 years. Take advantage of short-term funded research visits at MPIB, Berlin, and the Harding Center for Risk Literacy. Explore additional funding opportunities through RA positions and a contingency grant of 1,00,000 for conference travel. Access research databases, journals, and funding support for data collection.
