Pharmacy Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our pharmacy. The ideal candidate will assist the pharmacist in dispensing medications, managing inventory, handling customer inquiries, and ensuring the smooth running of the pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medications.
• Provide information to customers under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Accurately label, package, and store medications.
• Maintain and update patient records and prescription files.
• Manage inventory: receive, stock, and organize pharmaceutical supplies.
• Check stock levels and expiry dates, and notify the pharmacist of shortages or discrepancies.
• Handle customer transactions using the POS system and process payments.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations and pharmacy policies.
• Support in administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and answering phone calls.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a pharmacy assistant or in a retail/customer service role is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of pharmacy operations and medical terminology is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in using computers and pharmacy software (if applicable).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
