OT Pharmacist

Vacancy: OT Pharmacist

*UP registration is mandatory and candidate having exposure in OT or

Drug Management:

• Receive OT drug requisitions and prepare them for scheduled surgeries.
• Dispense drugs and surgical items to OT as per surgeon's and anesthetists orders.
• Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and documentation.
• Monitor expiry dates and batch numbers of all OT medicines and consumables.

Inventory & Stock Management:

• Maintain adequate inventory of medicines, anesthetic agents, and surgical supplies in the OT pharmacy.
• Conduct daily and monthly physical stock verification.
• Monitor usage trends and submit requisitions for replenishment in time.

Compliance & Documentation:

• Ensure strict adherence to NABH norms for OT drug storage and documentation.
• Maintain records of narcotic and high-alert medications as per statutory norms.
• Assist in audits, internal assessments, and documentation for regulatory purposes.

Coordination:

• Coordinate with the central pharmacy for drug procurement and returns.
• Liaise with OT nurses and anesthetists to ensure timely availability of required drugs.
• Support emergency drug requirements during surgical procedures.

Cold Chain & Storage:

• Maintain proper storage conditions for temperature-sensitive medications.
• Monitor refrigerator temperatures and log records as per SOPs.

Patient Safety & Quality:

• Ensure that no expired or improperly labeled medications are issued.
• Report any adverse drug reactions or drug discrepancies promptly.
