PGT SST Teacher

A Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) Social Science (SST) Teacher is responsible for delivering advanced-level instruction in social studies subjects like history, geography, economics, and political science to senior secondary students (classes 11th and 12th). This role involves developing lesson plans, conducting engaging lectures, facilitating discussions, assessing student progress, and providing academic support to help students succeed in their studies and prepare for higher education. Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Delivery:Design and deliver comprehensive lesson plans aligned with the school's curriculum and relevant educational standards, covering topics in history, geography, economics, and political science.
• Instructional Strategies:Employ diverse teaching methodologies, including lectures, discussions, group activities, and multimedia presentations, to cater to different learning styles and promote student engagement.
• Assessment and Evaluation:Develop and administer assessments (tests, quizzes, projects, etc.) to evaluate student understanding, provide constructive feedback, and track progress.
• Classroom Management:Establish a positive and disciplined learning environment that fosters student participation, critical thinking, and respect for diverse perspectives.
• Student Support:Offer academic guidance, mentorship, and support to students, addressing their individual learning needs and helping them prepare for examinations and future academic pursuits.
• Curriculum Development:Contribute to the development and refinement of the social science curriculum, ensuring it remains relevant, engaging, and aligned with educational goals.
• Collaboration and Communication:Collaborate with other teachers, school staff, and parents to create a supportive and effective learning environment, and communicate student progress and needs effectively.
• Professional Development:Stay updated with the latest developments in social science education, teaching methodologies, and educational technologies to enhance teaching practices.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in a relevant social science field (e.g., History, Geography, Economics, Political Science).
• Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent teaching certification.
• Proven experience as a PGT or equivalent role in a reputable educational institution.
• Strong subject matter knowledge and understanding of the social science curriculum.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate students, foster critical thinking, and promote a positive learning environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹32,920.32 - ₹35,293.75 per month
