PGT Maths Teacher

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) – Mathematics to join our academic team. The candidate will be responsible for teaching Mathematics to students of Classes XI and XII as per the CBSE curriculum, preparing them for board exams and competitive exams such as JEE (Main/Advanced). The ideal candidate should be highly knowledgeable, innovative in teaching methods, and committed to student success.

Key Responsibilities:Academic Delivery

• Teach Mathematics to Classes XI and XII in accordance with the CBSE curriculum.
• Prepare detailed lesson plans, academic calendars, and schemes of work.
• Use modern and interactive teaching techniques to improve conceptual understanding.
• Incorporate digital tools, smart boards, and online platforms to enhance learning.

Assessment and Evaluation

• Design and conduct formative and summative assessments.
• Prepare students thoroughly for CBSE board exams and offer additional support for competitive exams like JEE.
• Maintain accurate academic records and progress reports.

Student Engagement & Support

• Identify and address the individual learning needs of students.
• Conduct remedial and enrichment classes for students based on performance.
• Motivate students to excel academically and build a strong foundation in Mathematics.

Curriculum and Resource Development

• Develop and update curriculum materials, worksheets, and question banks.
• Participate in the planning and implementation of interdisciplinary and project-based learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate best practices and innovative teaching strategies.

Professional & Administrative Duties

• Maintain CBSE-mandated documentation such as lesson plans, attendance, and assessment reports.
• Participate in school functions, staff meetings, workshops, and parent-teacher meetings.
• Assist in school administrative and examination duties including invigilation and evaluation.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Educational Qualification:
• M.Sc. in Mathematics (or Applied Mathematics)
• B.Ed. (Mandatory as per CBSE norms)
• Experience:
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience teaching Mathematics at senior secondary level in a reputed CBSE school.
• Experience in coaching students for JEE or other entrance exams is a plus.
• Skills:
• Strong subject expertise in Mathematics
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Proficiency in using digital teaching tools (e.g., Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams, Smart Boards)
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
