PGT INFORMATION PRACTICES

Master’s Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Some schools may accept M.Sc., MCA, M.Tech, etc..

B.Ed. or equivalent teaching degree is often required

Several years of teaching experience (typically 2‑5 years) in senior secondary classes (Grades XI‑XII), preferably in CBSE or recognized board schools.

Strong knowledge of the CBSE Information Practices curriculum: programming (e.g. Python), databases (SQL/MySQL), data handling, possibly networking, and computer applications. Practical lab skills are expected.

Good command over English (and often local language), ability to communicate concepts clearly, handle labs and classroom teaching

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering lessons (theory + practical) as per CBSE syllabus for IP (classes IX‑XII typically).
• Maintaining and supervising computer labs and ensuring required software/hardware is functioning.
• Preparing students for board exams as well as internal assessments, and guiding them for practicals/projects.
• Assessing student performance, evaluations, giving feedback.
• Keeping records, preparing reports, possibly maintaining documentation for lab work and projects.
• Staying updated with new developments in software/IT, CBSE guidelines, possibly also integrating modern IT tools / e‑learning.
• Ensuring safety and proper lab protocol with respect to hardware and software use.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
