The role of PGT - Computers at SRMPS involves teaching Computer Science to senior secondary students (Grades 11-12) and occasionally middle school (Grades 9-10) as per the prescribed curriculum CBSE. As a PGT - Computers, you will be responsible for imparting theoretical knowledge along with practical skills in programming, computing concepts, and emerging technologies. Your duties will include lesson planning, classroom teaching, lab supervision, and preparing students for board exams and competitive environments. Additionally, a B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory as per CBSE/ICSE norms. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 25 years of teaching experience at the senior secondary level. Experience in curriculum planning and student mentoring is considered an advantage. Skills and Attributes - Proficiency in programming languages (Python, Java, C++, etc.) - Strong knowledge of theoretical and practical aspects of computer science - Familiarity with educational technologies and online teaching tools - Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills - Passion for teaching and motivating young learners Work Environment The work environment for this role includes school classrooms and computer labs.
