Computer Science Teacher

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lectures on computer science topics such as programming, algorithms, databases, web technologies, and software engineering.
  
• Design and update course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, homework assignments, and handouts.
  
• Compile, administer, and grade examinations, quizzes, and assignmentsor oversee this process through teaching assistants.
  
• Foster interactive classroom discussions and encourage student participation.
  
• Maintain academic records, track student progress, and provide constructive feedback.
  
• Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in computer science and incorporate them into the curriculum.
  
• Provide academic support and mentorship to students as needed.
  
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum planning, and faculty development programs.
  

Candidate Profile

• Bachelors or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (PhD preferred for graduate-level instruction).
  
• Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level is preferred.
  
• Strong understanding of core computer science subjects and current industry practices.
  
• Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  
• Ability to engage and inspire students in both classroom and online learning environments.
