The Senior Lead Petrophysicist will lead petrophysical evaluations across exploration, appraisal, and development wells, ensuring high-quality data acquisition and reservoir characterization. You will be responsible for advanced log interpretation, core-log integration, and applying digital/AI techniques to optimize reservoir understanding and investment decisions. Additionally, stakeholder engagement and mentoring junior professionals to drive technical excellence are key aspects of this role. Your main responsibilities will include leading petrophysical activities for various well types, designing and overseeing logging programs, conducting formation evaluation, attending rig site operations for real-time decision support, coordinating coring programs, performing field quality control of logging operations, collaborating with cross-functional teams, integrating petrophysical data with core study results and advanced logs, analyzing advanced logs for different reservoir types, evaluating petrophysical uncertainties, and engaging with various stakeholders to ensure alignment and compliance. You will also leverage machine learning and AI techniques, scout emerging technologies, evaluate investment opportunities, manage well log data systems, and mentor junior Petrophysicists. To qualify for this role, you should have a Masters degree or higher in Geophysics, a minimum of 15+ years of experience in Petrophysics within the oil & gas industry, willingness to travel offshore for rig site operations, and a proven track record in offshore exploration, appraisal, and development projects. Experience with major or international oil companies and exposure to Production Sharing Contract (PSC) environments are highly desirable. In terms of technical skills, you should be proficient in industry-standard petrophysical software, possess in-depth knowledge of logging tools and core-log-seismic integration workflows, be skilled in advanced interpretation techniques, have experience with various reservoir types, and hands-on experience in machine learning and data analytics applications in petrophysical evaluation. As an experienced Petrophysicist, you will be joining our expert team at PhiRhoK Technologies Pvt Ltd for a long-term consulting project in the Oil & Gas / Energy Consulting industry. Your role will involve working closely with leading oil & gas operators and global consulting firms such as SLB, BHGE on complex and high-impact subsurface projects. Your key responsibilities will include delivering high-quality petrophysical evaluations for client projects throughout the exploration and development stages. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary client teams to support basin screening, prospect evaluation, and reservoir characterization. In addition, you will lead or contribute to technical studies, workshops, and peer reviews as part of client engagements. Clear and professional communication of technical results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders will be essential, ensuring alignment of deliverables with client expectations, budgets, and timelines. To excel in this role, you should have 8-15 years of petrophysical experience, preferably in both operating and consulting environments. Proficiency in petrophysical software such as Techlog, Geolog, IP is required. Hands-on experience in exploration workflows including basin and prospect evaluation is essential. Your ability to work in a client-facing role, conduct technical discussions, make presentations, and deliver consulting reports will be crucial. Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills are also necessary. A Master's or PhD in Geoscience, Petroleum Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred. Exposure to working with or for international clients, including NOCs, IOCs, or major service providers like SLB, BHGE, Halliburton, will be advantageous. Experience in unconventional resource evaluation is considered an asset.
